Job Description

Process engineers in AFRY’s Technology and Smart solutions unit work in various tasks in customer projects within pulp and paper, chemicals and biorefining and mining and metals sectors. Main part of our work is demanding process engineering in different customer projects spanning from concept design to detail engineering and commissioning.

We are now looking for chief and senior process engineers to join our chemicals and biorefining and mining and metals team in Vantaa or flexibly at any other AFRY location in Finland.

As a chief or senior process engineer you will:

• Be responsible for process engineering in your own design area
• Lead and coordinate process engineering in basic and detail engineering projects
• Develop your personal skills and take part in collaborative internal development projects
• Share your engineering and industry know-how with the team

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has:

• Master of Science degree in Chemical engineering, Metallurgy or similar
• Minimum five years of experience from process design
• Experience of basic and detail engineering projects within the chemicals or mining and metals industry
• Safety-critical mindset
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in English. Command of Finnish and Swedish is seen as an advantage.
• Leadership skills with ability to work in cross-functional and multinational teams
• Willingness to travel
