Our Client is on the look out for a Junior Operations Analyst to join their Cape Town team.
The purpose of this role is support the Operations Analyst as well as the Chief Operating Officer. To facilitate both client as well as portfolio flows from point to point in the most efficient manner.
Key Requirements
· Degree in Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent (Required), Honours or higher will be advantageous.
· Experience in the asset management space will be advantageous
· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, word, power point etc
Responsibilities
· To provide Chief Operating Officer with monthly reports – Investment Flows, portfolio holdings.
· Drafting proposals, for new business, client instructions for LISP and unit trusts
· Support the Operations Analyst in processing of transfers for unit trusts, retirement products etc – Section 14, Section 42, Directive 135
· Interactions with platforms – Allan Gray, Ninety-One, Glacier, Momentum etc.
· Monitor business flows from Unit Trusts, DFM, IFA’s
· Review and maintain FICA documentation for direct clients.
· Assist portfolio management team.
· Determining appropriate methods to analyse operations, relevant information data.
· Identifying operational requirements and opportunities for improvement
· Gathering information by observing workflows, reading company reports
